Pragmata Lunatic Difficulty

I know it's always a daunting sight - two playthroughs for the platinum, one of which being on the hardest difficulty. With so many games and developers having different ideas to what is hard or not, the challenge starts with us determining or researching if this particular game will be as hard as Dark Souls or as easy as The Jumping Taco. Thankfully I have that answer.

I entered Lunatic Difficulty with one goal in mind; completing the game as quickly as possible. Being my business to offer fast and reliable services to clients, for this order I rushed through the game, tunnel vision on the final boss and to sync that shiny platinum. However, I do not recommend this! Lunatic Difficulty isn't too much of a change from the main difficulties: enemies attack more, their AI morr aggressive, but the largest issue is their health pools. The health pools already being quite large are not amplified, so your boss battles can take upwards of 15 minutes if you're not well prepared.

Every single main boss I encountered took me a good 15 minutes of constant battling to defeat, and the final boss took me around 7 hours to defeat from how vastly under leveled (and stubborn) I was to defeat them. So heed my warning, take your time during your playthrough to do the bonus red gates and explore extra areas as every level and mod and upgrade adds up!

I later tackled the difficulty again, but for this order I specifically took time to explore extra regions to grab the materials or currency needed to progress Hugh. I focused on the stasis gun having a larger upgrade, the sniper single shot having a charge, the shotgun damage increasing and then putting as much into my health to reach maximum (you'll need it). With these in mind, a lot of my boss battles looked similar. Hit the weak spot with stasis, fully charge the sniper shots into it or if you're close unload your shotgun, retreat back once depleted and keep the stagger meter up with pistol or rifle shots until you can repeat. Any little damage helps. This difficulty is more about endurance and patience then about unloading high volumes of damage and being hyper aggressive. Learn the attack patterns, keep sprinkling damage even if it's low numbers whilst you're dodging attacks or finding more ammo, and eventually you'll take down any boss.

Happy hunting!
