September Releases
September has been an exciting month for trophy releases! With games like the long awaited Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 giving us a lengthy 50 hour platinum time or the fun and whimsical Astro Bot leaving us an easy but gratifying platformer taking around 15 hours, we have truly been spoilt after a dry spell of new titles. These are not the only games released this month, TimeSplitters finally got its overdue trophy list added to the store, Dead Rising got a deluxe remaster and Devolver Digital published another entertaining title with Plucky Squire. Many titles to choose from and help increase your trophy lists.
News
Sony has been on an up and down roller coaster it seems this past year, giving us treats before leaving us empty handed throughout the months. In this month, we got the announcement for the PlayStation 5 Pro and its promise to bring fidelity and performance modes together for a more seamless and graphically enhanced play style. At a £699 price point (without the disc drive or vertical stand) the PS5 Pro promises to bring a larger scale with AI upscaling making our games look better than ever before on our screens.
Additionally to the PlayStation 5 Pro, we were blessed with the 30th anniversary skins for both consoles, controllers and the PS Portal, each one garnering that nostalgic colourful PS logo we all know and love. Although limited to only 12,300 copies, we still attempted to grab one of these for ourselves but with no triumph. Hopefully for any of you who tried you had better luck!
We've had a couple game showcases this month with the Tokoyo Game Show and the PlayStation Showcases that both happened in the later half of September. With new updates to gamepass like including a remastered Star Craft and Star Craft 2 to its library, new insightful trailers to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle but most of all the exciting reveal for the new suckerpunch game Ghost of Yotei, the long awaited "sequel" to Ghost of Tsushima. Unfortunately, the trailer did not reveal much at this time but the graphics and landscape match the beauty and innocence of its predecessor and we thoroughly look forward to future media showcases. The beauty of it all, a 2025 release date! Hopefully long gone are the times for game reveals set for years ahead before we will see them (We're looking at you Elder Scrolls VI and The Outer Worlds II). A game already in the gaming space but being released to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is Predator: Hunting Ground. This platinum is around 100 hours to complete, and with this new release it will bring with it a new trophy stack allowing to platinums for both the PS4 and 5 versions! We are unsure if this will be an overwrite update like what Fall Guys done, or if the trophies may have an autopop for PS5. Thankfully, it is not a long wait as the game releases October 1st!
We all know of Concords short lived life for online servers (hopefully to make a return later on), however that is not the only server shutdown we have been introduced too. Hood: Outlaws and Legends will be shutting down their online servers on February 18th 2025 making the 100% unachievable! Make sure to grab the trophies whilst you can or utilise our services to help avoid any unfinished trophy lists. Playstation Trophy Service will be removing this from the site sometime at the start of 2025 but will place it on sale prior to help anyone to achieve the platinum cheaper.
Going Forward
This is just a start of future updates we would love to include within our site. We here at Playstation Trophy Service love the gaming space, from trophies to achievements to just enjoying smaller titles, we actively keep up-to-date in the space and would love to be more involved. Going forward we hope to include reviews for new titles, our thoughts on the game overall and our rated difficulty, monthly insights to the business and news from popular game companies. We here at PTS thank you for your commitment to a legitimate service and we hope that we will not only provide you with a kind, friendly and fast service, but also an insightful outlet for interesting gaming news. Next month starts Spooky Season, so be sure to check out our sale full of scary games alongside new platinum services for Silent Hill 2. Take care and stay safe!
